Love through the Eyes of the King

The Queen Sirikit Museum of Textiles is proud to present Love Through the Eyes of the King, this special exhibition of photographs taken by both His Majesty and renowned Thai photographers that marks the auspicious occasion of His Majesty the King’s 85th Birthday Anniversary on December 5. The exhibition is on view from 6-11 December 2012 at the Fashion Hall, 1st floor, Siam Paragon.

We hope that the exhibition will remind viewers, particularly those born long after many of the events pictured here took place, of the hard work, care, and concern that Their Majesties have long shown for Their subjects.

The royal initiatives of His Majesty King Bhumibol and Her Majesty Queen Sirikit have been helping to improve the lives of the people of Thailand for more than 60 years. Their Majesties’ concern for the welfare of the country and its citizens is evident in the creation of many beneficial royal programs into which They have jointly poured Their efforts.

Over the years, His Majesty King Bhumibol has proven Himself to be a skilled photographer. The pictures taken during the Royal Family’s travels in Thailand show Him always with a camera hanging around His neck and a pencil and map in his hands, enabling His Majesty to simultaneously gather information and photograph Her Majesty Queen Sirikit and Their children both at work and at play.
