The 2nd Rotation of of “A Royal Treasure: The Javanese Batik Collection of King Chulalongkorn of Siam” exhibition will serve to shed light on the life of King Chulalongkorn, Rama V, and his three visits to Java, and His Majesty’s vision in compiling knowledge and culture to lay the foundation for the sustainable development of the country that is still apparent today.
the QSMT organized a private viewing session of the exhibition’s second rotation by Piyavara Teekara Natenoi, the director of QSMT; and Sarttarat Muddin, the curator; who will provide the details of the exhibition and lead the tour on Thursday 23 January 2020 and also provided details on the batik printing demonstration using a copper press by a batik expert from Yogyakarta, Indonesia.
