The museum is open daily from 9.00-16.30
Last admission is at 15.30

Admission to the museum is included in the Grand Palace visitor’s entry fee; please show your palace ticket at the ticket desk for museum admission.

For those wishing only to visit the museum: 

Adults: 150 baht
Seniors (over 65): 80 baht
Students (with ID): 50 baht
Youth (12-18): 50 baht
Children (under 12): free


The museum is in the Ratsadakorn-bhibhathana building, just inside the main visitors’ gate at the Grand Palace. 

The museum is served by taxis, and the 1, 3, 9, 15, 25, 30, 32, 33, 39, 43, 44, 47, 53, 64, 80, 82, 91, 201, 203, 501, 503,508, and 512 bus lines.  It is a short walk from the Tha Chang stop on the Chao Phraya local, express, and tourist boats.  


Groups & Schools

The museum welcomes tour groups and schools by appointment.  Please contact visitor services here.

Things to Know

The museum’s coffee bar is located near the Museum Store. It offers hot and cold beverages and light snacks.

Smoking is not permitted anywhere in the museum.

Oversized strollers, backpacks and umbrellas must be checked.

Photography is not permitted in the galleries.

Food and drink are not permitted anywhere in the museum.

Please turn off your mobile phone before entering the galleries as a courtesy to others.

The museum is accessible to wheelchair users. To request the loan of a wheelchair (as available) during your visit, please see the information desk.
