Thai textiles have become world-renowned due to the will to preserve and support the local wisdom in Thai textile weaving and handicrafts of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit The Queen Mother, including that Her Majesty always wore Thai textile attire throughout her years to promote them. Her Royal Highness then continued this royal duty of her grandmother in preserving and disseminating Thai textiles knowledge. Her Royal Highness has become a role model in the fashion industry, as she willingly passed on her knowledge in various fields involved, including marketing, development in design, techniques, and product creations. She also bestowed types of textile patterns so the local weavers could apply them to their products which would help generate tremendous income.
