SIRIVANNAVARI GRACE GLAMOUR GLORY

With love for arts and crafts since a young age, Her Royal Highness Princess Sirivannavari Nariratana Rajakanya studied and regularly improved her knowledge in various fields of art. Her Royal Highness is particularly interested in weaving, natural dyeing, and fashion design. Therefore, through long years of study and research, she now has profound knowledge in these fields.

Thai textiles have become world-renowned due to the will to preserve and support the local wisdom in Thai textile weaving and handicrafts of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit The Queen Mother, including that Her Majesty always wore Thai textile attire throughout her years to promote them. Her Royal Highness then continued this royal duty of her grandmother in preserving and disseminating Thai textiles knowledge. Her Royal Highness has become a role model in the fashion industry, as she willingly passed on her knowledge in various fields involved, including marketing, development in design, techniques, and product creations. She also bestowed types of textile patterns so the local weavers could apply them to their products which would help generate tremendous income.

With the gratitude of Her Royal Highness’s benevolence, the Queen Sirikit Museum of Textiles thus hosting SIRIVANNAVARI GRACE GLAMOUR GLORY exhibition in honor of Her Royal Highness on the occasion of her 36th birthday in 2023 in order to publicize her royal duties in inheriting, maintaining and continuing the Queen Mother’s initiations in preserving Thai textile weaving and promoting in the international level.
